Volunteer Opportunities

We currently have vacancies for volunteers in the following areas:

  • SPECIAL PROJECTS
  • DRIVERS
  • STUDENTS (FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS)

If you are able to provide a small amount of time each month for the betterment of the community, please complete a volunteer application form and return it to the Pelham Cares office.

The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards

The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards are a way for the government to recognize volunteers for their undeniable contributions. The awards are also a way to thank volunteers for their continuous years of commitment and dedicated service to a group.

Award winners received pins and certificates recognizing their commitment, energy and years of service in the community.

Community Food Drive

Volunteers are needed to help with the annual Pelham Community Food Drive.  

  • Volunteers are needed to go door to door and collect food.  This is a great job for families to do together 
  • Drivers are needed to transport food. 
  • Volunteers are needed to sort and box food as well as check expiry dates.  (Young volunteers must be able to read)

Please provide us with your name and phone # as well as the number of volunteers and ages of children if applicable.

Back to School

Kids are heading back to school and you can help by donating a gift voucher to help a family purchase school supplies and clothes. 

Denominations of $20 - $50 would be appreciated and can be dropped off at the office. 

Income tax receipts can be given out for vouchers of $10 or more if accompanied with a receipt.

  9. Kleenex, Bar soap, Toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, Shampoo
